Legal rules to know before you park
- Wild camping (free-camping on the beach, in the countryside or on the roadside) is forbidden in Mallorca and fines start around 100 EUR.
- You can legally park a camper van in any standard parking bay, but you cannot deploy chairs, awnings, levellers or empty grey water outside an authorised area.
- In protected areas such as Cap de Formentor, Sa Calobra, Es Trenc and the Serra de Tramuntana, overnight parking is enforced by local police and rangers — use a campsite or an official aire instead.
